How can I be alerted to camera failures?

Unlike the disc failures, power losses, or network connection outages of on-premise NVRs that may fail silently undetected, the cloud is always running and checking not only for errors but also for the absence of expected events.

If a camera loses contact for any reason (e.g. local network failure, camera failure, Internet connection failure, etc.), then get alerted via Camera Diagnostics

  1. Turn ON Camera Diagnostics at:
    https://camio.com/settings/notifications

  2. Ensure that your email address has been verified.

  3. You'll receive an email similar to this one anytime there's a problem with one of your cameras:
