Forensic Searches
Even though the primary purpose of Camio real-time video search is to detect and alert you to the activities that most warrant human review or intervention (using Event Streaming of activity that's not compliant with your policies), that same search capability expedites historical investigations too.
Camio Chips, along with natural language date/time parsing, Vector Search, and Event labeling, are tools for fast investigations.
Camio Chips
Whenevery you search, the phrases in your query are converted into interactive UI elements, called "chips". For example, this query that's looking for an air flow obstruction over the weekend:
material partially blocking exit air vents in Cleanroom B12 from 5pm July 25th to 8am July 28th
is converted into 3 chips:
- material partially blocking exit air vents - the freeform text used by Camio Vector Search.
- Cleanroom B12 - the camera name.
-
from 5pm July 25th to 8am July 28th - the time/date range.
Each chip can be edited in-place via double-click and removed by clicking on the 'x' on the right side of the chip. To reuse a chip as a phrase in some other query, drag the chip into your Saved Chip area of the Search Panel.
Saved Chips
Since the research you do for a particular investigation often covers a specific period of time, one of the most useful Saved Chips is the date range, which you can drag and drop into your Saved Chips area like this:
Whenever you click on a Saved Chip, its text is added to the search box. So having the time periods, cameras, and phrases most related to your investigation in your Saved Clips area makes it fast to create variations of queries using the phrases most related to your investigation.
Date/Time Chips
One click on a date/time chip shows a dropdown with related adjacent time windows and a date/time calendar picker.
Camera Chips
One click on a camera chip shows a dropdown of all the other cameras available on the active account:
